Vanlaxmi is a cross hybrid between Vanraj and Jamadar mango variety that originated in Valsad, Gujarat, India. The mango is adequately sweet with TSS up to 19 brix and a mild aroma akin to that of Jamadar. It has a good sugar-acid blend that opens up the taste buds of mango lovers. It has an average weight of 250-300 grams. It bears in bunches. It is harvested during mid-season - June in West Bengal, India. The trees grow semi-dwarf with an open canopy. Vanlaxmi is best suited as a table variety. It can be grown in commercial orchards, kitchen gardens, and rooftop gardens.
