Super Julie / Fairchild Ruby / J-12 is originated in Florida, USA, and is derived from a seedling of the very sweet and famous Jamaican mango variety Julie. Draped in Indian Alphonso-like flavour, Super Julie is a treat for mango lovers. With a high degree of sweetness (TSS: up to 28 brix), Super Julie satiates mango lovers through its enchanting aroma. It has an average weight of 300 grams (sometimes it grows bigger up to 500 grams). Harvested during mid-season (July in West Bengal, India, and Florida, USA, and August in the northern parts of India). The trees are vigorous with dense canopy (any mango tree in the world can be maintained at a low height if pruned on a regular basis). Super Julie is best suited for table purpose. Super Julie can be farmed commercially for domestic consumption. It can also be adopted for kitchen and roof-top garden provided pruning is done regularly.
