Kensington Pride / Bowen is a natural selection that originated in Australia. The mangoes are adequately sweet (TSS: up to 20 brix), and are mildly aromatic. Its average weight is 300-400 grams. It is harvested during mid-season - in the 2nd week of June in West Bengal, India. The trees are vigorous, dense with spreading canopies (any mango tree in the world can be maintained at a low height if pruned on a regular basis). Kensington Pride is best suited for table consumption. It is the number one commercial mango variety of Australia and is exported to many countries.
