Hong Long / Red Dragon is a hybrid mango variety originated in Taiwan. The fruit is adequately sweet (TSS: up to 20 brix). Its average weight is 300-400 grams. Hong Long is mildly aromatic. It has the tendency to bear twice in a year. It is harvested during mid-season - June in West Bengal, India and in some years the 2nd harvest comes in October/November in West Bengal (India). Trees are semi-dwarf with dense canopies. Hongl Long is best suited for table consumption. It may be adopted for commercial farming for Farms and for Rooftop Gardens / Kitchen Garden / Small orchard.
