Baaz / Bazz / Paaz / Pazz is a less popular mango variety that originated in Israel/Egypt. However, with time, Baaz is gaining popularity in Egypt as a commercial cultivar (the colour of a ripened Baaz can be compared to that of Miyazaki mango though Baaz is sweeter than Miyazaki). Baaz is very colourful adequately sweet (TSS up to 20 brix), with an average weight of 350 grams, and has a pleasingly tropical aroma with a mix of aroma akin to that of Indian mangoes. The pulp of Baaz is smooth yet firm with no fibres. Baaz is a regular and heavy bearer. Baaz mangoes have a very long shelf life of at least 14 days, making them worthy of export. It is harvested during mid-to-late season, June-July in West Bengal, India. The trees are vigorous with dense canopy (can be maintained at desired height through regular pruning - any mango tree in this world can be retained at a short height if pruned on a regular basis). Baaz mangoes are best suited for table purposes. It can be planted for Commercial Farming for Farms / Rooftop Gardens / Kitchen Garden / Small orchard.
