The pulp is whitish-yellow to deep saffron, completely fibreless, and exceptionally juicy, with a smooth, custard-like texture and an intensely sweet, mild flavour — free of the tang found in sharper varieties like Kesar. The flavour of Dudh Peda resembles to that of Alphonso. It ripens during the peak Indian summer season (April in Gujarat, India and June in West Bengal, India) alongside most Indian cultivars.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eAverage weight of Dudh Peda hovers around 160 grams, sometimes grows upto 220 grams.
