It is a late-season mango variety - harvested during July in West Bengal (India), August in North India. The trees exhibit a semi-dwarf growth habit with dense canopies. Bari-4 is best suited for table purposes. Diced ripened Bari-4 cubes can also be added to fruit salads. Since it is a heavy and regular bearer with an acceptable taste profile that becomes available in late season, it fetches high returns for the mango farmers. Thus, Bari-4 is suitable for commercial mango farming.
