It is a natural selection mango variety originating from Egypt. Ewais is a unique variety - the same tree produces two distinct fruit types — the full-sized Ewais (300g) and the miniature Fas Ewais (70–90g). 'Fas' in Arabic means 'small'. Fas Ewais tastes just heaven - like honey on top of condensed milk with a pinch of cinnamon powder, and floral essence (rose petals). Fas Ewais is exceptionally rich in taste, with high degree of sweetness (TSS up to 27 brix). Its pulp is juicy, buttery, and it just melts in the mouth - it has no fibre at all. The stone is the thinnest mango stone possible on earth - like a blade, due to which the pulp recovery of Fas Ewais is almost 95% - the highest!!! Ewais also boasts of a very rich and complex taste profile, and it is a top-tier mango in Egypt. The pulp is juicy, smooth and buttery. It is harvested in June in West Bengal, India, and in August in Egypt. The plant shows vigorous growth with a spreading canopy (however, it can be kept to a lower height through regular pruning). Both Fas Ewais and Ewais are consumed for table purposes. Due to very high price of Fas Ewais (as high as INR 1500 per kg), and Ewais in the Gulf countries, Ewais is strongly recommended for commercial farming. Super-early, completely fibreless, and intensely aromatic — once cut, the fragrant aroma of a Glenn mango can be smelled from quite a distance. Buttery smooth pulp with pleasant tropical flavours and sweetness at TSS 23 brix. Average weight 350–400 grams, often developing a red blush on sun exposure. Excellent resistance to anthracnose, bacterial black spot, and rot diseases. As of 2026, Glenn is the only good mango variety averaging more than 300 grams that ripens in April in West Bengal, India — when markets across West Bengal and neighbouring states still have no comparable mangoes available. This gives Glenn exceptional commercial pricing potential. Tree-ripened shelf life is 4–5 days, extendable to 7–8 days with 80% ripe harvest and hot water treatment — adequate for the domestic market. Though a relatively new cultivar, it has earned extraordinary reputation for its butter-smooth, fibreless pulp that literally melts in the mouth, with distinctly tropical coconut and pineapple notes and sweetness reaching TSS 25–27 brix. Fruit remains green after ripening with yellow patches and occasional red blush on the shoulder — turning fully yellow only when bagged. Obliquely oval in shape, weighing 450–700 grams. An early to mid-season variety, ripening in May–June in West Bengal, India. The stone is polyembryonic and often aborted inside the husk. Notably, while Sugarloaf is recognised as a shy bearer in Florida, it has behaved in the complete opposite manner at Amrakunja Nursery & Farms — bearing regularly and very heavily in bunches across 2024, 2025, and 2026. It ripens in the month of June in West Bengal, India, and in August in Egypt. Mesk trees are vigorous with a spreading growth habit. However, it can be kept dwarf or semi-dwarf through regular pruning. It's a regular bearing variety. The shelf life is 7-8 days if harvested at 80% ripening stage. The shelf life decreases to 4-5 days when it is harvested tree-ripened. A mango of Alphonso-like flavour is best enjoyed when it is harvested at 80% ripening stage. Mesk is a table-purpose variety. Sweetness is exceptional (TSS as high as 27 brix), supported by an outstanding, very rich and complex citrus-forward flavour and aroma — clearly more orange-zest in character than its lemony parent Lemon Meringue. The pleasant, orangey aftertaste of Orange Sherbet lingers on the palate long after the last bite, leaving you craving more for the rest of the day. It is a table-purpose mango. Average fruit weight is around 300 grams, and the seed is small and polyembryonic, meaning seedlings come true to the mother. It is a mid-season variety, ripening by last week of June in the West Medinipur district of West Bengal, India; and around the same time in Florida, USA. At Amrakunja Nursery & Farms, Orange Sherbet fruited heavily during the 2025 season, and its legendary taste and aroma satiated the taste buds of the visiting mango lovers. During 2026 season too, it has fruited heavily - in clusters, which proves that Orange Sherbet is a very high-yielding mango variety. With a workable shelf life of 7–10 days, a compact dwarf habit, polyembryonic seed, heavy and regular bearing, disease tolerance, and an unmistakable premium flavour, Orange Sherbet shows very good prospects to be a commercial cultivar in India (it will fetch very high price in the market in India; it can also be exported to the Gulf countries for a premium price). Orange Sherbet plants are well-suited to commercial orchards, kitchen gardens, and rooftop / terrace gardens alike.

ColourBright YellowAverage Weight300 gramsSweetnessTSS 27 Brix +Pulp RecoveryMore than 75%Shelf Life7–10 daysSeed TypeSmall and polyembryonicBearingRegular and heavy bearer

Lemon Zest, originated in Florida, USA, is widely regarded as one of the best mangoes ever bred in the USA and is a celebrated product of the famous Gary Zill mango breeding programme in Boynton Beach, Florida (originally trialled under the planting code 27-1, released for sale in 2011). Slowly but steadily, she is gaining ground among Indian mango growers who recognise her commercial potential.

Her story begins in the early 1980s at Patel Farm and Nursery in Valsad, Gujarat, owned by Shri Thakorbhai Ambalal Patel. A natural cross-pollination occurred between two prized parents standing side by side on his land — Vanraj, famed for its attractive colour and long shelf life, and Jamadar, equally celebrated for its taste and flavour. In 1981-82, Thakorbhai harvested five unusual mangoes from the Vanraj tree, sowed the stones, and six to seven years later one seedling fruited with a striking red-peeled fruit of impressive taste and keeping quality. Shri Mohanlal Dayalji Patel, a progressive Gujarati farmer, recognised its potential and began multiplying it. In 1995, the variety was named Vanlaxmi — "Van" from its parent Vanraj, and "Laxmi" from Mohanlal's mother, Laxmiben Patel.

The fruit is genuinely beautiful — a blend of red, yellow and green, with most of the peel covered in a deep red blush and finished with a generous natural wax that boosts both shelf appeal and storage life. Each mango averages 250–300 grams, oval-oblong in shape with a prominent beak. Inside, the pulp is orange-yellow, juicy, completely fibreless, and firm enough to hold its body even when the peel begins to wrinkle. The flavour is tropical with subtle hints of spice, and the taste carries a generous sweetness at TSS up to 21° Brix balanced by a pleasing sugar-acid blend — making her an excellent table mango. It arose as a seedling of Zill-80 — itself a direct descendant of the classic Kent — with Jakarta believed to be the pollinating parent. This pedigree places Fruit Punch within a distinguished modern lineage, making it a sibling of Super Alphonso, Carla and Edgar.

The Fruit Punch mangoes are oval and medium-sized, weighing roughly 450 to 650 grams, and rank among the most beautiful of the Zill selections. Growers often liken a perfectly finished fruit to a "dragon egg," with a fiery red blush crowning the shoulders above a base of golden-yellow and green. Fruit Punch is very aromatic - cut into one and it releases a sweet, syrupy aroma carrying a gentle resinous edge, frequently compared to Hawaiian Punch or the famous mocktail 'Fruit Punch'. The pulp is a vibrant yellowish-orange, firm and almost pear-like in texture yet entirely fibreless, buttery - melting in the mouth, and juicy. On the palate, it delivers a classic mango sweetness lifted by a well-judged acidity, with layered notes suggesting lemon, pineapple, papaya, watermelon, peach and green grapes. This "fruit cup" quality gives the variety its name. Principally a superb table mango, it is equally at home in smoothies, juices, and blended drinks. Unlike many of Egypt's celebrated palace-era mangoes, Seddika is a newcomer — traders call it a "new Egyptian kind," widely planted only from the mid-2010s, yet it won a devoted following in a remarkably short time. It is grown in the heartlands of Egyptian mango country: the fertile farms of Ismailia and the Nile Delta, and increasingly on reclaimed desert land. The pulp is deep orange, completely fibreless, juicy, and buttery — firm yet melt-in-the-mouth — around a pleasingly small seed, giving an excellent pulp-to-seed ratio. Its signature is the flavour: complex, spicy yet floral, and Alphonso-like, which Egyptian connoisseurs call rich, well-rounded, and unlike any other variety (a quality confirmed at Amrakunja Nursery & Farms during the 2026 season). It is very sweet, with TSS up to 24 brix. Superb fresh — in slices or straight from the fruit — it also makes a thick, fragrant juice and a fine base for smoothies and desserts, and is best enjoyed as a table variety. Its shelf life is very high — around 15 days post-harvest. It has earned a particular place among Egypt's export varieties: where many beloved local mangoes are too soft-skinned and short-lived to travel, Seddika pairs rich Egyptian eating quality with firmer, more resilient flesh, recording among the highest fruit firmness in comparative testing of Egyptian cultivars. That resilience, together with its clean, colourful looks, has made it an increasingly successful export across the Gulf, the wider Middle East, Europe, and beyond.

Seddika trees are vigorous with an open canopy, though their height can be controlled by regular pruning. It eats like a genuine "flavour bomb": an intense, complex richness built around a big, sour-candy tang that is met, blow for blow, by an equally big punch of sweetness, all lifted by a subtle citrus undertone. Enjoyed slightly under-ripe, the tartness is at its most electric and truly awakens the palate; left to ripen fully, that same tartness softens and the sweetness turns almost cola-syrup-like and syrupy-smooth. Sweet Tart can be enjoyed at several different stages of ripeness — it consistently ranks as a Top 5 mangos among those who love real tang, though palates that prefer a milder, sweeter fruit sometimes find it too assertive.

Sweet Tart is a mid-to-late season mango, ripening in West Bengal (India) in the first/second week of July; and in Florida (USA) through July and into August. It carries its crop in clusters on individual panicles, and fruit size on the tree is largely governed by how many fruits a panicle is allowed to hold — thinning heavy clusters rewards the grower with noticeably larger mangoes. The fruit does not ripen well if picked too green, so it is best left on the tree until the skin just begins to colour and blush.

The seed is polyembryonic. They ripen from light orange through a greenish-yellow to a rich golden-yellow, frequently carrying a handsome orange-to-pink blush across the upper half of the fruit — that blush is driven by sun exposure rather than ripeness, so the more sun, the more blush.

Inside, the pulp is firm and completely fibreless and buttery, remarkable for a mango of this size, it ripens surprisingly evenly throughout.
